A new farmers' market will open at the end of this week: here is what awaits you there
The "Orvot HaOmanim" ("Artists' Stables") complex in Pardes Hanna is launching a new farmers' market. The market will operate on Thursdays and Fridays, bringing together the best local produce from Pardes Hanna, Binyamina, Alona, and Hof HaCarmel, alongside goods from producers across the country.
The "Orvot HaOmanim" complex in Pardes Hanna, which has become one of the most vibrant leisure, culture, and culinary hubs in the region, is renewing itself with "Shuk BaOrvot" ("Market in the Stables"). This new farmers' market will operate every Thursday and Friday, bringing together under one roof the best local produce from Pardes Hanna, Binyamina, Alona, and Hof HaCarmel, alongside boutique producers from across the country.
The complex, located in the historic stable building, combines restaurants, cafes, shops, galleries, and local businesses, attracting thousands of visitors every week. Behind the initiative are Shai Barakat, an entrepreneur in construction and production, and Meital Rosenk, a former high-tech worker turned nursery owner and garden designer. Barakat brings extensive experience in establishing leisure and hospitality complexes.
Among other things, he was a partner in the establishment of the Mosh Beach on the Sea of Galilee, participated in Six Senses projects, and previously founded the "Truck BaMoshavah" coffee cart in Moshav Aviel. The project is also supported by Ifat Sharon from the Sharon Nahav group, who provides expert business consulting and project management.
The initiative is based on the "One stop market" concept, where local residents can prepare for the Sabbath with all the quality ingredients needed for the weekend — from spices, fish, and vegetables to flowers, and enjoy a quality leisure experience at the Orvot HaOmanim complex.
The market spans approximately 300 square meters and includes about 25 stalls, each operated by a different producer. This allows for a direct encounter between consumers and the farmers, winemakers, bakers, and craftsmen selling their produce.
Visitors will find sourdough bread, cakes, and pastries (Elhanan), boutique cheeses and sausages (HaMizve), olive oils, fresh fruits and vegetables (Ruach Shtut), pasta, wine, tahini from Givat Nili, honey, spices, pickles, olives, flowers, and special plants from Meital's nursery, as well as coffee. Alongside the stalls, there are alcohol bars, and an Entebi shawarma cart will open soon.
The complex is designed as a rural strolling experience with vegetation, shading, and cooling misters, with country music playing in the background. A small stage will be set up later to host local artists and cultural events.
The Orvot HaOmanim complex in Pardes Hanna is open to visitors on Thursdays from 14:00 to 20:00 and on Fridays from 8:00 to 16:00.
