Senior Hamas Official Responds to October 7 Massacre Questions: 'Maybe Some Mistakes Happened'

Senior Hamas official Ghazi Hamad faced a heated confrontation with British presenter Piers Morgan in an interview regarding the October 7 massacre. When questioned about his previous statement that Hamas would repeat such attacks, he denied that the terrorist organization committed crimes against humanity, cynically claiming: "There were no orders to kill civilians."

Morgan accused Hamas of murdering civilians, kidnapping babies, and committing war crimes, telling Hamad: "The denial of this is ridiculous." Throughout the interview, Hamad struggled to answer questions, attempting to justify the actions by citing the "occupation." When Morgan pointed out that 3,000 members of the organization crossed the border to commit heinous crimes, Hamad replied: "I am 100% sure. We never committed crimes – maybe some mistake happened."

The British presenter was stunned by the response: "'Mistakes'? You shot innocent people to death. Hamas deliberately massacred hundreds of young people at a music festival. This is a war crime." Morgan emphasized that while he has criticized the scale of the Israeli response in the Gaza Strip, this does not diminish Hamas's responsibility for the October 7 attack.

"You crossed every line of humanity and morality. Your people committed absolute acts of barbarism against innocent Israelis. We saw it with our own eyes. Your Hamas terrorists published videos of the atrocities in real-time themselves," Morgan stated. Toward the end of the interview, when asked about kidnapping babies, Hamad claimed they "have no directive to do this." Hamad is one of the senior Hamas officials whom Israel attempted to eliminate in a strike in Doha last September.
