4-year-old child goes missing at Delila Beach in Ashkelon and is found safe

On Saturday, police forces and numerous volunteers launched extensive searches in the area of Delila Beach in Ashkelon following a report on the disappearance of 4-year-old Yunes Abu Ganam from Rahat. The child was last seen in the beach area in the afternoon, after which contact was lost, raising grave concerns for his safety and leading to the deployment of significant forces to the scene.

The police appealed for public assistance with a description of the child to facilitate a quick location. After hours of intensive searching and vigorous activity by field units, the child was located safe and sound and returned to his family.

It should be recalled that only about two weeks ago, a similar incident occurred in Ashkelon when 4-year-old Yuval Kogan went missing during a family picnic in the Hofit hills area. In that case, security forces and many volunteers also conducted extensive searches that lasted for several hours until the child was finally found.
