Tzachi Abu and Tamir Cohen Acquire 25% Stake in WeBox for 76 Million Shekels
Tzachi Abu and former Shikun & Binui CEO Tamir Cohen are acquiring a 25% stake in real estate firm WeBox for 76 million shekels following the collapse of Abu's previous G-City deal.

Following the collapse of the G-City acquisition deal, Tzachi Abu is acquiring a quarter of the shares in a smaller real estate company. It was learned that Gefen Magurim, controlled by Abu, acquired 25% of the shares of WeBox, which operates in the fields of income-producing real estate, residential development, and urban renewal.
The shares were acquired from Yaakov Gursd, who will continue to hold 13% of WeBox and share control with Abu and Cohen, with the latter serving as the company's chairman. It was further learned that Tamir Cohen, former CEO of Shikun & Binui, is joining Abu in the acquisition by purchasing 5.4% of the stake held by Gefen Magurim, alongside an additional 1% he will acquire independently. The total transaction amounts to 76 million shekels.
The acquired shares represent half of the controlling core in WeBox. Gursd, who held approximately 53% of the company's shares prior to the deal, will now hold about 27%. Founded in 2014, WeBox holds a 50% stake in Yigal Damri's urban renewal company and engages in its own evacuation-construction (pinui-binui) operations. The company focuses on three main sectors: residential real estate, income-producing properties, and urban renewal.
Other notable shareholders in WeBox include Yitzhak Tshuva with 8.3% and David Fattal through Fattal Holdings with 8%. According to WeBox's financial reports for the first half of the year, its equity stands at approximately 424 million shekels. The value of its assets at the end of 2025 was approximately 1.6 billion shekels, representing 44 projects comprising about 5,429 housing units, with the company's share amounting to 2,544 units.
Previously, Abu had signed a deal to acquire control of G-City from Chaim Katzman for 661 million shekels, but that transaction collapsed by mutual initiative after Abu added Ishpro to the arrangement without Katzman's consent.
