IDF forces intended to temporarily seize a Palestinian home in the Ramallah area but withdrew after discovering the owner is a US citizen. The incident, reported by 'Kan News', occurred in the village of Turmus Ayya, where forces presented the owner with an order regarding their intention to use the property.

According to the report, the US Embassy expressed strong indignation over the conduct of the forces, who allegedly ordered the residents to evacuate. The seizure was subsequently cancelled following political pressure.

However, a military source emphasized that although the Palestinian was served with the order, the residents were permitted to remain in the home. The source noted that upon receiving confirmation of the owner's US citizenship, the decision to seize the house was revoked.

'The forces did not make use of the house and chose an alternative structure for the operational activity. Throughout the entire activity, the forces acted properly,' the military stated.
