IDF destroys Hezbollah underground shaft containing weapons in southern Lebanon

IDF forces continue operations in southern Lebanon to neutralize threats. Over the past week, troops located and destroyed a Hezbollah underground shaft used for storing light weapons, anti-tank missiles, and RPG rockets.

Fighting in southern Lebanon continues. The IDF Spokesperson published footage on Sunday showing the destruction of an underground shaft used by the Hezbollah terrorist organization to store weapons. Simultaneously, forces from the 55th Brigade Combat Team and Yahalom units, under the command of the 91st Division, continue to operate in the security zone to remove threats to the State of Israel.

The IDF stated:

"Forces of the 55th Brigade Combat Team and Yahalom units, under the command of the 91st Division, are operating in the security zone in southern Lebanon to remove threats to the State of Israel. Over the past week, the forces located and destroyed an underground shaft used to store weapons belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization. In addition, they located a large quantity of weaponry, including Kalashnikov-type rifles, anti-tank missiles and launchers, artillery equipment, and RPG rockets. The IDF will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to harm the citizens of the State of Israel and its forces, and will continue to operate to remove threats."
