Mira Stahl, who was murdered in Kfar Aza on October 7, 2023, and initially buried in Shefayim, was re-interred Tuesday at the cemetery of her home kibbutz. She was 53 at the time of her death and is survived by her husband, Noam, and their three children: Rotem, Moran, and Ella.

Remembering a Trauma Therapist

Noam established the 'Kol HaOlam Bamah' project in her memory. "Mira dedicated her life to treating children and teenagers coping with anxiety and trauma," Noam wrote. The initiative trains professional therapists in psychodrama to treat trauma victims, in collaboration with the Coalition for Trauma. So far, 50 therapists have been trained, and a new cohort of 24 is set to begin soon.

"This is a staggering day that brings us back to the hardest moments. The feeling is that we are going through the funeral and the farewell all over again," Noam said regarding the re-burial.

Legacy and Community Impact

Tali Libanon, CEO of the Israel Trauma Coalition, praised the initiative, emphasizing that the project keeps Stahl's values and spirit alive. Tamir Idan, head of the Sdot Negev Regional Council, whose son was one of Stahl's patients at the resilience center, also commemorated her vital work and lasting contribution to the community.
