Trump Offers White House Press Secretary Post to UFC Chief Dana White
US President Donald Trump has offered the White House press secretary position to UFC chief Dana White, following the brief departure of Katie Zakharia.

US President Donald Trump has offered the position of White House Press Secretary to Dana White, the American businessman who serves as CEO and president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Trump also invited him to bring along several UFC fighters as aides.
"I am pleased to announce that the great Dana White has been offered the position of White House Press Secretary," Trump wrote on social media. He added that he asked White to bring assistants, including figures such as Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harrison.
According to Trump, such individuals are needed to protect the administration from political opponents. The president publicly urged White to accept the role, describing him as a unique communicator who would redefine the position.
The development follows the departure of the previous White House press secretary, Katie Zakharia, who served for only a few days following her appointment by Trump. Zakharia held a single press briefing before stepping down amid heavy media scrutiny over her professional background and debut appearance.
Speaking to reporters on the South Lawn, Trump confirmed he advised Zakharia to reconsider her position. While denying that he formally fired her, the president noted that the demanding role might not be suitable for her and criticized the media coverage surrounding her brief tenure.
