United States President Donald Trump stated that Washington is considering joining strikes against the Houthi movement in Yemen following a lethal attack on the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump described the attack as unacceptable and noted that a decision could be made very quickly.

International Condemnation and Regional Security

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack via social media, expressing full solidarity with Saudi Arabia. Sharif emphasized that targeting civilians and critical infrastructure poses a severe threat to regional peace and stability, demanding an immediate halt to such violent actions.

"I strongly condemn the heinous attack launched by the Houthi militia on King Khalid Airport," Sharif stated, reaffirming Pakistan's unwavering commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia.

Casualties and Operational Impact

Saudi Arabia's civil aviation authority reported that 12 people were killed and 309 injured in the strike. The fatalities include citizens from Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Sudan, and Palestine. The attack damaged a passenger terminal and caused temporary suspensions of flight operations.
