The Ultimate Recipe for Melt-in-Your-Mouth Israeli Holiday Honey Cookies
Discover the secret to baking perfect, melt-in-your-mouth Israeli honey cookies for the holidays. Follow this easy recipe for a sweet and traditional treat.

Every year when I make honey cookies, filling jars again and again with cracked, intoxicatingly scented cookies, I ask myself why I don't make them all year round. There is something truly magical about baking them specifically for the Jewish holidays. It makes us look forward to them, turning a sweet bite into a cherished holiday memory of togetherness.
This quintessentially Israeli cookie often gets an undeserved reputation for being dry, mostly due to the mass-produced supermarket versions that bear no resemblance to homemade ones. In contrast, these cookies literally melt in your mouth, leaving a delicate trail of cinnamon aroma and a deep, rich honey flavor. Wishing you a sweet and happy New Year, just like these wonderful honey cookies.
