An indictment was filed at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court against a police officer from the Lev Tel Aviv station, charging him with illegally arresting a foreign national, coercing her into a sexual relationship, and abusing his official authority.

According to the indictment submitted by attorney Daniel Arfi on Wednesday, the incident began during the night between June 9 and 10, 2025. The officer responded to a call at the woman's apartment and, despite having no legal grounds for arrest, handcuffed her and took her to the police station. She was detained for several hours without being questioned before being released with his phone number.

The indictment states that the officer followed her home on a police scooter while on duty and subsequently visited her apartment three additional times. During one of these visits, the two engaged in sexual relations. Later, when the woman asked for assistance in collecting a debt from an acquaintance, the officer allegedly conditioned his help on further sexual favors and left angrily when she refused. In another instance, he misused his position to check details regarding the arrest of her acquaintance.

The officer has been dismissed from the Israel Police following a disciplinary hearing. Defense attorneys Diana Shumsky and Moshe Alon stated that they have yet to receive the investigation materials and believe the charges reflect an overinterpretation by the Department of Internal Police Investigations.

Israel Police emphasized that upon the opening of the investigation, the officer was placed on mandatory leave and subsequently fired following a formal hearing.
