Tel Aviv Protest Targets Netanyahu and Shin Bet Chief Over Election Dispute
Tel Aviv hosts a major protest tonight over disputed Knesset election results and alleged political pressures, with organizers criticizing Prime Minister Netanyahu and Shin Bet Director David Zini.

A mass protest rally is scheduled for this evening at Habima Square in Tel Aviv, organized by the Movement for Quality Government under the banner "Netanyahu and Zini, you are playing with fire." The demonstration comes amid rising tensions surrounding the certification of the 26th Knesset election results and attempts to challenge the legitimacy of the Central Election Committee.
According to organizers, the protest was called in response to demands to delay the publication of official results and threats to block their final approval. These moves persist despite a definitive statement from Central Election Committee Chairman Justice Noam Solberg, who confirmed that the electoral process was entirely proper and accurately reflects the voters' will.
The Movement for Quality Government also strongly criticized what it termed "political investigation activities" promoted by Shin Bet Director David Zini. Leaders urged the prime minister and all political factions to respect democratic norms, warning that conditioning the acceptance of election outcomes on political agreement threatens citizens' voting rights and orderly governance transitions.
Movement Chairman Dr. Eliad Shraga issued a sharp warning ahead of the rally, stating that the public has spoken and the election apparatus must not be targeted simply because the outcome is inconvenient. Speakers at the event are set to include former Shin Bet Director Ami Ayalon, former Justice Minister Dan Meridor, Prof. Noya Rimalt, and former head of the Shin Bet legal division Adv. Eli Bachar.
