TA closed with gains and concludes a green week; defense stocks jumped by 3.5% today

The TA-35 index rose by 0.6%, TA-125 climbed by 0.4%. In the defense sector, Next Vision strengthened by 6.3%, while Elbit Systems and Arit Industries rose by 3.9%.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange closed the last day of the trading week with gains, and the leading indices conclude a green week.

The TA-35 index strengthened by 0.6%, TA-125 rose by 0.4%, TA-Banks added 0.6% to its value, TA-Insurance weakened by 1.1%, and TA-Defense jumped by 3.5% against the backdrop of concerns about further geopolitical heating up.

Nofar Energy fell by 5.7% and Phoenix weakened by 1.1% against the backdrop of the report that Nofar is on the way to purchase Phoenix's share in the Reindeer power plant as well as a stake in another venture.

In defense stocks - Next Vision strengthened by 6.3%, Elbit Systems and Arit Industries rose by 3.9%, Mivnei Beit Shemesh climbed by 2.3%, Aerodrome soared by 17.7%, and Eye-Net strengthened by 12.3%.

The yield of the 10-year government bond rose by two basis points to 3.93%, completing a total increase of 16 basis points in six consecutive days of gains.

In the weekly summary - TA-35 jumped by 2.7%, TA-125 strengthened by 2.3%, TA-Insurance jumped by 3.1%, TA-Oil and Gas strengthened by 2.9%, and TA-Defense soared by 9.3%. On the negative side - TA-Banks retreated this week by 0.1% and TA-Real Estate fell by 1%.

Elbit Systems led the TA-35 index this week with a jump of 13.7%, followed by Tower which strengthened by 12.3% and Camtek which climbed by 10.3%. Closing the index was Nice stock with a weekly plunge of 11.5%, preceded by Mega Or which erased 10.2% and Shapir Engineering which weakened by 3.3%.
