Surprise in a Tel Aviv backyard: improvised explosive device found inside a refrigerator, 45-year-old man arrested

Police officers from the Tel Aviv South station arrested a 45-year-old Tel Aviv resident today after a search of his home on Levik Street revealed an improvised explosive device hidden inside a refrigerator in the backyard. Tel Aviv District sappers isolated the scene, neutralized the device, and removed it from the area. The suspect was transferred for questioning, and the police intend to request an extension of his detention in court.

In an official statement, the police spokesperson noted: "Police officers from the Tel Aviv South station in the Ayalon District arrested a suspect, a resident of Tel Aviv, after a search of his home uncovered an improvised explosive device hidden inside a refrigerator; the police intend to request an extension of his detention in court."

As part of a targeted operation, officers conducted a court-ordered search at the home of the 45-year-old suspect on Levik Street. During the search, the explosive device was discovered inside the refrigerator in the backyard.

Tel Aviv District sappers arrived at the scene, isolated the area, and safely neutralized the weapon before removing it. The suspect was arrested and transferred for questioning at the Tel Aviv South station. Based on the investigation's findings, the police will request to extend his detention in court.
