One of the most popular ways to convey a message on WhatsApp is by sending stickers. OpenAI has integrated this into ChatGPT with a new feature for creating stickers from existing photos, including cropping with a transparent background. Users can upload one or several photos from their library and turn them into personalized stickers.

Stickers are created via the Images area in the sidebar (or by clicking Create an Image): simply enter Stickers, upload your photos, and choose a style. Available styles include 3D, hand-drawn, holographic, comic, anime, and more. After uploading, you can ask ChatGPT to convert them individually or combine several into a sticker pack. You can also add or remove elements from the image before conversion, apply the style of a reference image, or describe the desired style in text.

Once finished, click Add to Chat Apps to export. Currently, options include iMessage, WhatsApp, and saving to your photo library. For WhatsApp, a minimum of three stickers is required for export, a standard Meta requirement for any application exporting stickers to its platform. This transparent background mechanism also works on images generated within ChatGPT, serving as a quick tool for creating clean cutouts of objects from any image.
