Against the backdrop of the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington, the "Peace Now" movement launched a billboard truck today, Tuesday, carrying a giant sign that is driving near the White House and through the main streets of the American capital.
At the center of the campaign is the message: "THIS IS NOT CHAOS. IT IS A PLAN." and alongside it the call: "AMERICA, YOU CAN'T TRUST HIM".
According to "Peace Now", "The rampant settler terrorism in the West Bank is not the result of chaos or loss of control, but of a consistent government policy that provides backing, funding, and protection to illegal outposts, farms, and settler terror elements operating against Palestinians in order to ignite the West Bank and turn it into another war front, as part of the messianic right's vision of annexation."
"The movement calls on the American president not to grant legitimacy to the policy led by Netanyahu, Bezalel Smotrich, and Itamar Ben Gvir, which, it says, endangers Israel's security, exacerbates violence on the ground, and distances any possibility of a political settlement. We appeal directly to the president, who has previously stated that he is against annexation, not to trust Netanyahu and to act to stop the dangerous rampage in the West Bank," they added.
