Sources in the Peace Council: "Both sides are violating the agreement"

In the council established by Donald Trump, it was claimed that both sides are not fulfilling the 20-point agreement, and they criticized the army's activity in Gaza: "It is a pity that Israel is missing this huge opportunity for a small amount of tactical operations that will not really lead to the dismantling of Hamas."

Sources in the Peace Council criticized today, Tuesday, the wave of kite launches from the Gaza Strip towards the surrounding area and stated that every violation is handled immediately with the violating party.

"We have established a mechanism led by the US military that handles this quickly. The violating party understands that there are severe implications for continuing the violations. Both sides are still violating the 20-point agreement," the Council stated.

They added that they are trying to get the parties on a track of fulfilling the agreements. The sooner the 20-point agreement is fulfilled, the sooner the dismantling of Hamas from heavy and light weapons can begin. Alternatively, if Hamas does not disarm, Israel will be able to act with force and with international political backing.

"It is a pity that Israel is missing this huge opportunity for a small amount of tactical operations that will not really lead to the dismantling of Hamas," the Council added.

Benjamin Netanyahu has warned Hamas that if kite launches continue, Israel will eliminate those responsible and evacuate the population. In the same breath, sources in the council established by Donald Trump sharply criticized the actions of the IDF in recent weeks in Gaza:

"The actions of the IDF in recent weeks make a lot of media noise but are tactical operations devoid of security significance, which cause significant strategic damage. These actions perpetuate Hamas in civil and military rule and do not really eliminate Hamas. For every elimination, Hamas recruits a hundred new young people."

Dozens of people, including residents of the surrounding area, demonstrated this morning at the Kerem Shalom crossing against the backdrop of the many kites that penetrated the area from the Gaza Strip, and against the entry of foreign forces into the Strip before the dismantling of Hamas. Later, the protesters arrived near the American base in the south of the Strip and continued their protest there.

Dani Rahamim, a member of Kibbutz Nahal Oz and spokesperson for the kibbutz, said during the demonstration: "After October 7 of the Hamas monsters, there is no chance that Hamas will continue to rule in Gaza. It will not happen."

The "Tzav 9" movement and the "Gaza Envelope Forum" stated: "This is an emergency protest against the backdrop of the plans to introduce international forces into the Gaza Strip and start rehabilitation processes, even before full demilitarization of the Strip and the dismantling of the terrorist organization Hamas from its infrastructure and weapons has been achieved. We are crying out against the direct harm to the country's security and the transfer of security powers to foreign forces with interests contrary to those of the State of Israel."
