Exiting the gas stations: Paz is setting up fast charging stations in BIG complexes
Ultra-fast charging stations will be set up in BIG shopping complexes across the country. The first one: at the complex at Check Post in Haifa.
In the era of electric vehicles, it is possible to charge the car at home, or via fast charging in separate complexes, on the street, or in commercial shopping centers. Paz Charge, the charging network of the largest fuel company in Israel, was designed to get us used to "refueling" electric vehicles at their stations, and now it is starting to reach customers outside the stations as well.
The company already operates an ultra-fast charging complex in Eilat, a sought-after destination for such charging for those arriving after a long journey from home or about to start their way back. Now it is beginning to place its yellow stations in BIG complexes across the country.
The first charging complex will be built at BIG Check Post in Haifa, and dozens of additional stations will be set up later in various BIG complexes. The complex will include four ultra-fast charging stations with a capacity of up to 400 kW, allowing charging from 10% to 80% in just about 15 minutes (for supporting vehicles).
BIG is one of the largest commercial real estate groups in Israel, specializing in the initiation, development, investment, and management of open shopping centers, malls, logistics complexes, offices, and rental housing. The company operates and manages 56 commercial centers — about half of them in Israel and the rest in Europe. BIG complexes are located on major traffic arteries and near residential and employment areas, attracting millions of visitors every year. Integrating Paz Charge charging stations will allow electric vehicle drivers to charge their cars while shopping or spending time at the complex.
For Paz, this is another step in the growth of the Paz Charge network, which operates the largest ultra-fast charging network in Israel, with 358 charging stations spread across 121 complexes nationwide. As part of the continued growth of its charging operations, Paz is expanding the deployment of stations beyond gas stations into centers of commerce, employment, and leisure, adapted to the changing mobility habits of electric vehicle drivers.
