Report: Two additional teams interested in Tyrese Asante
Italian media claim that Monza is not the only team eyeing the Maccabi Tel Aviv player. Lecce, where Omri Gandelman plays, and the Turkish club Kasimpasa are also in the race.
Tyrese Asante continues to attract interest from abroad. After it was reported yesterday that the Italian club Monza had initiated preliminary contacts with Maccabi Tel Aviv in an attempt to sign the 24-year-old defender, two more clubs following his situation have now been revealed. According to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, "It is not only Monza that is interested in Tyrese Asante from Maccabi Tel Aviv. The defender has an offer from the Turkish club Kasimpasa and is a real option for Lecce," where Omri Gandelman plays.
As previously reported by the Dutch outlet VoetbalPrimeur, Monza had contacted Maccabi Tel Aviv regarding the possibility of signing the defender during the current transfer window. According to the same report, the Italian team was not the only one following him, but was considered at this stage to be the most serious contender among those interested.
Asante arrived at Maccabi Tel Aviv in the summer of 2024 from ADO Den Haag for approximately 600,000 euros and has since become one of the team's key players. During his two seasons in Israel, the Dutch defender has won all domestic titles with the "yellows." Asante has a contract for one more season, with Maccabi holding an option to extend the agreement for an additional year.
Since joining, Asante has recorded 90 official appearances for Maccabi Tel Aviv and has also played six times for the Netherlands U-21 national team. Now, with interest from Monza, Lecce, and Kasimpasa, the club must decide how to proceed regarding the defender's future.
