PSG Star Kvaratskhelia Faces Long Layoff After ACL Tear Against Barcelona
PSG star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia faces a long layoff after tearing his ACL against Barcelona. Medical experts warn his return this season is highly unlikely.

Paris Saint-Germain star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is facing a race against time to play again this season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a 4-2 Champions League victory over Barcelona.
Francois Pietra, former chief medical officer of Strasbourg, told L'Equipe that standard recovery times for such injuries range from six to seven months. He noted that it would take a miracle for the Georgian winger to return before the end of the campaign, especially with the risk of complications.
Even if Kvaratskhelia recovers within the optimal window, regaining match fitness and intensity will pose a significant challenge. The 25-year-old was injured near the 60th minute following a collision with Xavi Espart, and PSG has confirmed he will undergo surgery in the coming days.
