Shelly Landsman joins the Energy board of directors to promote energy solutions for data centers and AI
The general meeting approved the appointment of the former CEO of Microsoft Israel to the energy company's board of directors, against the backdrop of growing electricity demand for data centers and AI infrastructure.

Shelly Landsman, former CEO of Microsoft Israel and co-founder of the NED group, has joined the board of directors of the energy company Energy. The company, which is traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange under the symbol ARNG, announced today that the general meeting of shareholders approved the appointment.
"Shelly Landsman's joining the board of directors strengthens Energy exactly at the intersection of energy, technology, and digital infrastructure," said Major General (res.) Iftach Ron-Tal, Chairman of the Board of Energy. "Shelly brings with her rich management and business experience, alongside deep familiarity with the world of data centers and the needs of leading global technology companies. For Energy, this is a significant addition that will help us advance the company's growth strategy in Israel and Europe."
Landsman worked for 24 years at Microsoft, holding senior management positions in Israel and internationally. In 2015, she was appointed CEO of Microsoft Israel, leading its operations during a period of growth in cloud computing, digital transformation, and business innovation. Since 2020, she has served as a founding partner of the NED group, an Israeli-British partnership that engages in the initiation, development, and construction of digital infrastructure and data centers in Israel and Europe.
According to Energy, Landsman will work to promote and expand the company's activity in energy and energy storage, including through the company's CAPP long-term energy storage technology. The emphasis will be on expanding activity in Israel and Europe, mainly around data centers and artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The company links the appointment to the growing demand for AI infrastructure and cloud computing, which increases electricity consumption and the need for continuous energy supply. The CAPP technology is based on energy storage using compressed air in salt caverns and is designed to provide continuous energy for long durations. The company presents it as a complementary solution to renewable energies and short-term storage systems for critical infrastructure.
