Shahar Hayon Opens Up: "Not Everything Is Perfect"
Social media star Shahar Hayon shared her insights on the power of joy and faith. She explained how keeping Shabbat transformed her life and strengthened her connection with her family.

Social media star Shahar Hayon, who previously shared about her growing closeness to religion and faith after October 7, revealed today (Sunday) an insight that has become part of the positive lifestyle that characterizes her. In a video she posted on TikTok, she read an excerpt from the book of Rabbi Nir Ben-Artzi and recommended to her followers: "Everyone who wants to be happy, listen to this."
As mentioned, in the excerpt she read, it is written that joy is much more than a one-time emotion:
"It is a garment of light that clothes the happy Jew. When a person enters a state of joy, he draws light from the holy soul, and this light wraps him from head to toe and purifies all negative thoughts and the evil inclination."
It was further explained that it is precisely from joy that goodwill and selfless love for others are strengthened: "This is the reason why, in a time of joy, a Jew becomes a person of goodwill and a good heart towards others."
Immediately after, Hayon shared her personal insight: "Look at what power we have when we are happy. Do you realize what we discovered? Joy is the Jew's superpower." According to her, it is all a matter of personal choice: "I can wear joy even when not everything is perfect, because I know that everything will turn out for the best even if I am going through trials."
Hayon addressed her many followers with a strengthening and unequivocal message: "Wear joy and it will bring you the gift. Joy must be natural and correct." In the end, she added that the message is relevant to every person, regardless of their lifestyle: "I learn a lot from this. Even if you are religious or not — this is a correct and logical way of life."
In the last two years, Hayon has been going through a process of strengthening, as part of which she made a significant decision that caused a big change in her life: "Since I have been keeping Shabbat, I am more connected to myself and know what rest is; I used to rush from place to place."
The social media star described the turning point following the decision:
"I was not connected to my family — until the day I started keeping it. My mother would talk to me and I wouldn't be focused. I received my family as a gift, we don't care about the phone, we charge from each other like a circle of energy, joy, light, and faith."
According to her, since the family members took upon themselves the observance of Shabbat, they have improved in all areas.
