Michal Haktana Joins VIP Cast of Reality Cooking Show MKR Israel
Children's star Michal Weitzman, known as Michal Haktana, is joining the upcoming VIP season of the reality cooking show MKR Israel on Channel 12.
The popular Israeli reality show "MKR Israel" is returning to Channel 12 with a surprising new contestant: children's entertainment star Michal Weitzman, widely known as "Michal Haktana" (Little Michal). She announced her upcoming participation on her Instagram account, sharing a short video of herself rolling out dough and telling her followers that she is thrilled to join the culinary competition.
A New Culinary Challenge
Based on the successful Australian format, the show has been broadcast in Israel since late 2018 under the guidance and judging of prominent chefs Haim Cohen and Ruthie Russo. While the series originally featured amateur cooks from across the country, recent seasons have increasingly focused on VIP editions featuring public figures, media personalities, and well-known artists.
"Very soon you will see me in the winning kitchen and I am so excited!!" Weitzman told her followers.
Format and Personal Transitions
Contestants must set up a pop-up restaurant, cook a three-course meal under strict time limits, and host fellow competitors and judges. Weitzman's participation follows a period of notable personal changes, including her separation from her husband Nir Weitzman and a subsequent high-profile relationship that recently ended.
Because the show requires participants to compete in pairs, the identity of Weitzman's cooking partner has not yet been officially revealed, leaving fans eager to see who will join her in the kitchen.
