With exactly two months remaining until the Knesset elections, the window for registering new parties is closing. Amidst the emergence of several small parties that could tip the scales, internet personality and social activist Semyon Grafman has officially registered a new party and plans to run in the upcoming elections.

This marks Grafman's second attempt at a political career. In April 2019, he headed the "Betach – Social Security" list, which focused on pressing civil issues such as the cost of living, bureaucracy, corruption, and improving public services.

That initial bid yielded only about 4,600 votes (approximately 0.11% of the total), failing to cross the electoral threshold. Grafman later admitted that the lack of a solid organizational infrastructure hindered his progress, but he vowed that he had not said his final word.

Now, seven years later, the internet star is preparing for a renewed battle for voter trust. The central question remains whether he can successfully translate his social media sympathy and viral popularity into actual seats in the Knesset.
