Saudi Arabia Plans Operation Against Houthis Amid Escalating Tensions
Saudi Arabia is reportedly planning a military operation against the Houthis in Yemen, involving local forces and airstrikes, following recent attacks on infrastructure.

Saudi Arabia is planning a military operation against the Houthis in Yemen, considering options including securing Red Sea shipping lanes or launching a multi-front offensive, regional and Western sources told Reuters.
According to the reports, the operation is expected to take place in the coming weeks. It will be executed by Yemeni forces, backed by Riyadh and supported by airstrikes, as described by six sources familiar with the details of the operation.
Meanwhile, the official spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition, Turki al-Maliki, stated that the Houthis attacked the Tiba electricity distribution station in Medina on Tuesday. "The attack caused the shutdown of one of the transformers, though the power grid itself was not damaged," he said.
In response, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea claimed that Saudi Arabia had carried out 94 airstrikes in Yemen over the previous 24 hours using warplanes and missiles, targeting civilian sites and resulting in casualties.
