An Emotional Reunion: Nova Hostage Survivors Return to the Dance Floor
Three years after October 7, the Nova community and toMix are launching the "NOVA Live Concert" project. The premiere event will take place in September in Rishon LeZion, opening with a special reunion on the dance floor.
Almost three years after the events of October 7, the Nova community is marking a historic and moving milestone: for the first time since the massacre, all survivors of captivity who were kidnapped from the Nova festival and have returned home will be invited to reunite on the dance floor.
This unique gathering will take place as part of the launch event for the "NOVA Live Concert" project—a definitive moment of closing a circle, celebrating the victory of the spirit, hope, and healing through music and community.
The new project was born from a desire to continue the healing journey of the Nova community through the language that has always united it. Following the massive "We Will Dance Again" performances at Yarkon Park, which brought together tens of thousands, this new series of shows will create one-of-a-kind connections between the worlds of trance, electronic music, rock, and the Israeli mainstream on a single stage.
For the Nova community, music is far more than entertainment; it is a space of memory, connection, resilience, and healing. This project marks another layer in the tribe's ongoing process of coping and growth.
The premiere event will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the new toX performance venue in Rishon LeZion. The evening will feature special musical collaborations, including a performance where Eitan Reiter will host Orit Shahaf and Tom Petrover of the band "HaYehudim."
Performing on stage, among others, will be Omri Sassi, one of the founders of the Nova tribe and the DJ who played at the party on that difficult morning of October 7, alongside leading artists and ensembles including Astrix, Moonclipse, the Nova band, and Amigdala.
