Raviv Drucker takes a jab at Eyal Berkovic and Moriah Asraf: "We made a mistake"

The journalist criticized the interview conducted by Moriah Asraf and Eyal Berkovic with Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and noted: "We gave him too much of a platform. We invite him too often. He is the most failed minister in the country's history. One should not ask him about things unrelated to his field of office."

Journalist Raviv Drucker was a guest on the TV show "Moriah and Berko" on Channel 13, where he sharply criticized the conduct of Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir. During the discussion, Drucker claimed that the media in Israel had given Ben Gvir "too much of a platform."

After Eyal Berkovic asked for Drucker's opinion on the interview he conducted with the senior government minister, the journalist said:

"My opinion is that we have already made this mistake once, we, the media, and gave him too much of a platform. Not to not invite him at all, but we invite him too often."

When he learned that Minister Ben Gvir is a guest on the "Moriah and Berko" show once a month, Drucker criticized the interview that Moriah Asraf and Eyal Berkovic led with the politician:

"It is too much. He is the most failed minister in the country's history. I think one should not constantly ask him about a million things that are not related to his field of office. Murder cases are rampant here, the Arab society... I apologize for criticizing."

Berkovic accepted the professional criticism and shared the answers provided by Minister Itamar Ben Gvir during the interview:

"No, go ahead and criticize. We noted it. He actually admits that he is not getting a handle on the murders. He wants to involve the Shin Bet more. But on the other hand, he says: 'Guys, ask the residents in the South. I am there all day, I am trying to eradicate the protection racket.' It is not working for him. He says: 'Not everything is perfect but I am trying'."

Raviv Drucker was not moved by the claims of Ben Gvir, chairman of the "Otzma Yehudit" party:

"Listen, in terms of results, he is the most failed minister ever in the State of Israel. He promised governance, he promised on the South. Nothing is happening. All these things did not happen. He did all sorts of operations in Tarabin, nothing is happening. The loss of trust in the police is insane. I don't need to tell you, you see it in the polls. It is possible to get a handle on it."

According to Drucker, it is possible to get a handle on the crime problem in the Arab society:

"10 years ago there were not 250-300 deaths in the Arab society, but 100 deaths. So what changed in these 10 years? Suddenly a new DNA of Arab criminals arrived? No, what happened is that the state stepped out of this matter. There is a real estate problem, funding, these are very complex problems that go together... unemployment etc. If serious ministers enter this matter and not a minister who spends most of his time on his public relations and not on the media, then you will see that it will be solved."
