Report: Higher Sense of Security in Localities Where 'HaShomer HaChadash' Operates

A special report prepared by the consulting firm KPMG at the request of the Ministry of Settlements and published on Tuesday confirms that the activities of the 'HaShomer HaChadash' organization unequivocally strengthen the sense of security and community resilience in Israeli localities. The report details that residents in areas where the organization operates report a higher sense of security compared to localities where it does not.

The findings indicate that as a result of the organization's presence in localities and open areas, residents fear theft and violence less, are more comfortable leaving their homes in the evening, and express higher satisfaction with the overall security level in their surroundings.

CEO and founder of 'HaShomer HaChadash' Yoel Zilberman stated:

'The KPMG report is evidence of the tremendous impact created by the volunteers on the ground, people of the beautiful Land of Israel who go out in heat and rain to assist in guarding open areas and strengthening security in remote localities, places where often the lack of presence and the problem of governance create a sense of fear and invite criminal forces inside.'

Zilberman added that the organization looks forward to expanding its activities in cooperation with the Ministry of Settlements, the police, and the Border Police (Magav) to further strengthen governance and public security.

Minister of Settlements and National Missions Orit Strock said:

'The data in the report demonstrates our policy: where there is no settlement, there is no security, and where there is settlement, there is security. This is exactly the reason we invested in this project. We will continue to build a defensive wall of settlement for the State of Israel and will continue to invest in community resilience for the sake of the security of Israel's citizens.'

'HaShomer HaChadash' emphasized that these positive results are the outcome of a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Settlements and National Missions, aimed at supporting the periphery and rural communities.
