Range Rover Launches First Electric SUV with 22-Minute Charging
The British luxury brand unveils its first all-electric model, featuring a 600 km range and legendary off-road capabilities combined with advanced EV technology.
British luxury brand Range Rover is opening a new chapter in its history with the launch of the company's first fully electric model. Manufactured at the historic Solihull plant, the new vehicle combines the brand's signature refinement and luxury with advanced electric propulsion technology, without compromising its legendary off-road capabilities.
The vehicle is equipped with dual electric motors producing a combined 550 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, performance figures comparable to a high-output V8 engine. The 118.5 kWh dual-layer battery, utilizing an 800-volt architecture, provides an impressive range of up to 600 kilometers (WLTP). An ultra-fast charging system enables the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 22 minutes.
Beyond its on-road performance, the electric Range Rover introduces a revolutionary traction management system that reacts in just 50 milliseconds—100 times faster than internal combustion engines. The vehicle is capable of wading through water up to 900 mm deep and climbing extremely steep gradients. The model has undergone over 1.5 million kilometers of testing in extreme conditions worldwide to ensure durability and uncompromising quality.
