Rami Levy, Osher Ad or Victory: The cheapest supermarket chain in Israel revealed

Ahead of the Rosh Hashanah holiday, a survey has identified the most affordable chains for purchasing meat, poultry, fruits, and vegetables. Rami Levy secured the top spot by a significant margin.

A survey conducted by the Geocartography Institute among a national sample of 500 respondents (Jewish and Arab sectors) has identified the most affordable supermarket chains for holiday shopping ahead of Rosh Hashanah. In the meat and poultry category, the Rami Levy chain took first place with 31% of the vote.

Osher Ad followed in second place with 24%, while Hatzi Hinam ranked third with 10%. The remaining results include Yechananof (8%), Carrefour (5%), Shufersal (4%), Victory (4%), Yesh Hesed and Machsanei HaShuk (3% each), and Tiv Taam, Keshet Taamim, and Yeinot Bitan (1% each).

In the fruit and vegetable category, the Rami Levy Shivuk HaShikma chain again led the rankings with 33%, followed by Osher Ad with 26%. Yechananof and Shufersal tied for third place with 7% each. They were followed by Victory (6%), Hatzi Hinam (5%), Machsanei HaShuk (3%), Carrefour (3%), Yesh Hesed (3%), and Keshet Taamim, Yeinot Bitan, and Fresh Market (1% each).

Yafit Levy, co-CEO of the Rami Levy Shivuk HaShikma chain, noted: "We are pleased that, according to the survey results, our chain continues to lead studies regarding the most affordable shopping basket in the country."
