Moments away from the chuppah of Omer Adam and Sasha: reporting from the monastery in Portofino

Exclusive: Just moments before the main chuppah ceremony of Omer Adam (32) and Sasha (24), which is set to take place at the magnificent Cervara Abbey, our mako Celebs correspondent in Portofino managed to bypass the security perimeter to document the preparations in real time.

The couple already signed a ketubah two days ago in an intimate ceremony in the local fishing village, as Sasha shared. That event was held in a much smaller circle of friends and family compared to the large gathering arriving this evening at the historic monastery, which has stood on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea since the 14th century.

Our lens captured the venue filling up with hand-picked guests, whom Omer and Sasha requested to maintain complete privacy. In the background, the sound of violins already fills the air as famous guests walk through the wide, well-kept gardens. The entire location is wrapped in a dreamy landscape, with the green cliff and the Mediterranean Sea offering a view straight out of a postcard.

It is expected that the Haredi singer Motty Steinmetz will participate in the ceremony, which, according to reports, will be held with gender separation, as he stipulated prior to his arrival in Italy. Among the guests dressed in formal attire—despite the 82 percent humidity—are Odya Azulai, the Ma Kashur trio, Moshe Peretz and his wife Yarden, Aviv Geffen and his wife Sharon Kaufman, and others.

Before the DJ turns up the volume on the dance floor, we caught the guests spending time on the picturesque streets of the fishing village, enjoying a moment of peace and catching up just before heading to the main chuppah ceremony.
