Near humanitarian aid activity: Commander in Hamas production headquarters eliminated

In a joint operation by the IDF and the Shin Bet in the Al-Maghazi area in the central Gaza Strip, the terrorist Ismail Abu Foul was eliminated today, Sunday. According to the security forces' announcement, Abu Foul served as a commander of a weapons production site in the production headquarters of the Hamas terrorist organization and took an active and central part in preparing explosive devices and anti-tank missiles intended to harm IDF forces and Israeli citizens.

During the operation, the production site itself, which was established adjacent to an aid distribution point of an international organization, was also attacked. The IDF clarifies that this is another clear example of the systematic and continuous use that Hamas makes of civilian infrastructure and humanitarian aid centers, as part of its attempts to renew and carry out terror plots against IDF forces operating in the "Yellow Line" area.

In the security establishment, it is emphasized that the recent actions of Hamas constitute a systematic and blatant violation of the ceasefire. The organization is trying to exploit the current period to rehabilitate its damaged military capabilities and renew its force buildup through the establishment of new production sites and equipping itself with advanced weaponry.

The elimination of Abu Foul and the destruction of the site in Al-Maghazi were carried out to remove an immediate threat, as part of a policy of targeted prevention of the organization's military rehabilitation attempts. The IDF and the Shin Bet clarified that they will continue to act decisively against any attempt by Hamas to rehabilitate its terror infrastructure and violate the ceasefire understandings.
