Power Couple Fallout: Assi Buzaglo Slams Production and Contestants
Assi Buzaglo launched a fierce attack against the Power Couple production and contestants after losing the Reshet 13 finale, revealing he almost quit before the final episode.

Almost two months have passed since the grand finale of the reality show Power Couple on Reshet 13, yet the controversy surrounding the program is far from over. Assi Buzaglo, 43, who reached the final alongside his wife Adi and lost to Uri and Anna Banai, has launched a scathing attack against the show production and several fellow contestants. In an interview published on Thursday on Mako, Buzaglo revealed that he seriously considered withdrawing his candidacy from the final, and only the intervention of his wife and their agent prevented him from doing so.
Behind the Scenes Tensions
According to Buzaglo, friendly relations prevailed among the participants during the filming process. However, once the broadcasts began, the atmosphere shifted dramatically, and some of his fellow contestants began attacking him and his wife in the media. Buzaglo claims that the production allowed these actions and even portrayed them in a way that harmed the couple. Watching the finale was a particularly difficult experience, and he even regretted not quitting beforehand. Buzaglo added that he felt a sense of relief regarding the finale rating figures, which stood at around 8 percent.
"The claims made against us were completely unfounded, and the production chose to frame our journey in a distorted light," said Assi Buzaglo in his recent interview.
Financial Success and Public Vote
Behind the disappointment of the loss lie some fascinating numbers. Assi and Adi reached the final with the highest cash pot in the show, accumulating 493,000 shekels, compared to 399,000 shekels amassed by Uri and Anna Banai, and 269,000 shekels by Omri and Dorin Kande. Nonetheless, the final decision was determined by viewer voting rather than the size of the pot. Just last Sunday, Uri and Anna visited the Reshet 13 offices to officially collect their grand prize of 399,000 shekels.
In the new interview, Buzaglo made it clear that, from his perspective, the victory rightfully belonged to him and Adi. He also did not spare criticism for the competing couples, especially Omri Kande, who allegedly attacked their lifestyle and financial standing. Buzaglo dismissed claims made by other participants regarding an alleged boycott led by the couple, arguing that they were actually the ones who experienced alienation and hurtful behavior.
