Campari Negroni Week is coming to Israel from October 28 to November 4, featuring more than 45 bars and restaurants across the country. Organized by IBBLS of the Central Bottling Company, the event celebrates the iconic Italian cocktail with creative twists, culinary collaborations, music, and special menus.

The Campari Negroni House at The Norman

The central event of the week will take place at The Norman Hotel in Tel Aviv, where the Library Bar will transform into the Campari Negroni House for three days. Visitors can sample unique local interpretations of the classic drink, including the Hazelnuts Negroni from Martinet, the Israeli Negroni from Dalal, and the Negroni Sabai from Herzl 16.

The perfect bite alongside a Negroni is what this culinary collaboration is all about, bringing together top local chefs and mixologists.

Alongside the drinks, a special food menu has been crafted under the concept of the ideal accompaniment to the cocktail. Participating chefs include Adar Lotan from Avery and Martinet, Moti Titman from Malago and Melbar, Barak Hasson from the Montefiore Hotel, Daniel Tzur and Omer Shedmi from Alena, Tomer Tal from Bovo, and Narkis Alfi from Beina. Each chef will present a small dish inspired by the ingredients and balance of the cocktail, such as Alfi's sea fish bruschetta and Titman's red tuna tartlets.

Special Events Nationwide

Beyond the pop-up at The Norman, numerous events will animate Tel Aviv and other locations across Israel. Pizza Cotta will host a Negroni Cotta Party combining frozen Negroni and music, while the Montefiore Hotel presents a Negroni and Briny evening pairing the cocktail with oysters. Jones is planning a pizza and cocktail party, and Beina will welcome chef Eden David for a special culinary night. Herzl 16 will feature a Negroni and Show event with live music, and Taiza will mark the week with a blend of food, music, and cocktails.

The Negroni is widely regarded as a staple of Italian drinking culture. According to tradition, it was invented in Florence in 1919 when Count Camillo Negroni asked to strengthen his Americano cocktail by replacing soda water with gin. The classic recipe relies on equal parts Campari, gin, and red vermouth. Campari itself was created in Italy in 1860 by Gaspare Campari, eventually becoming synonymous with the Italian aperitivo tradition. Admission to all Negroni Week events is strictly for adults aged 18 and over.
