After six years in college: David Green signs with Ironi Kiryat Ata
The 24-year-old forward (2.00m), who excelled last season at Tulsa, joins Eldad Bentov's squad. 'He is a very competitive player with a strong character and a hunger to succeed,' the club stated.
Ironi Kiryat Ata announced on Friday the signing of American forward David Green for the upcoming season. Green will be the fourth foreign player on Eldad Bentov's roster, as the club looks to surprise the league once again.
'David is a player who arrives after maximizing his college career, with a lot of experience and maturity,' said Bentov in a statement on behalf of the club. 'He is a very versatile power forward with a wide set of skills — a player who can put the ball on the floor, attack the rim, shoot from the outside, play in the post, and punish in a variety of ways.'
Regarding his character, the club added:
'Beyond his professional abilities, he is a very competitive player with a lot of character and a hunger to succeed. He has a lot of potential and is a player who fits the Israeli league very well. We believe he will help us a lot in several positions and will be a significant part of our team in the coming season.'
Green (24, 2.00m) spent six years in college. He began his studies at Hofstra, moving for two years to Louisiana Tech, where he played only six games in his second year due to various injuries. In the summer of 2023, he moved to Rhode Island and recorded two excellent seasons, followed by a standout performance at Tulsa, where he averaged 15.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
Green joins Holland Woods, Nike Sibande, and Brandon Medley-Bacon on the Kiryat Ata roster. The team's Israeli core includes Tomer Assayag, Jordan Cohen, Daniel Sharon, and Maxim Filonenko.
