Israel Police have decided to close the investigation file opened against David Ziton, the partner of singer Nasrin Kadri, on suspicion of assaulting former Hamas hostage Rom Braslavsky, citing a lack of public interest.

The incident took place following a performance by Kadri at the Menora Mivtachim Arena. Braslavsky, who spent 738 days in Hamas captivity after being abducted from the Nova festival on October 7, stated in January that he was barred from entering a private after-party. According to his testimony, when he sought clarification, he was physically attacked by Ziton.

Investigation and Defense Claims

Following the complaint, police detained Ziton for questioning. Ziton's defense attorneys argued that he acted in self-defense and attempted to prevent an escalation. Days later, leaked audio recordings emerged featuring a phone call between Kadri and Braslavsky, in which the singer apologized while noting she was not present during the altercation.

Braslavsky later voiced severe distress over the incident, stating: "He beat up my face and threw me into a trauma I never expected to experience. This person hit me as if he were a Hamas operative. It was the most shocking event of my life; I never thought I would be attacked here in my own country."

"The person was in a frenzy, smelling of drugs and alcohol. I hope the Israel Police conduct a thorough investigation to reach the truth," Braslavsky said in his testimony.

Conclusion of the Case

Despite the conflicting accounts and initial detention, authorities ultimately reviewed the gathered testimonies and circumstances of the confrontation, leading to the decision to close the case against Ziton.
