Police Arrest Teen Over Terror Claims as IDF Thwarts West Bank Attack
Israeli police arrested a 16-year-old suspect in Ramat Gan after he messaged a police bot claiming to be a terrorist. Concurrently, the IDF and Shin Bet thwarted an imminent attack in Qabatiya.
Police arrested a 16-year-old Bedouin teenager from the southern diaspora in Ramat Gan on Tuesday morning after he posted suspicious statements online. According to police, officers from the Bnei Brak station in the Dan district tracked down and arrested the teenager, transferring him for questioning. Suspicions arose after he published terrorist-related content on social media and messaged the police chatbot stating, "I am a terrorist."
Meanwhile, following Yom Kippur, the IDF reported on ongoing military operations in the wake of a fatal terror attack near Binyamin, in which Netanel Shakron was killed. Duvdevan fighters in Qabatiya apprehended two terrorists who were planning an immediate attack, based on intelligence provided by the Shin Bet.
