IDF Disabled Veterans Organization Appoints Liron Sagi Cohen as New CEO
The IDF Disabled Veterans Organization appointed Liron Sagi Cohen as its new CEO, succeeding Yossi Mattityahu. She will lead the expansion of rehabilitation systems for Iron Swords War veterans.
The IDF Disabled Veterans Organization has announced the appointment of Liron Sagi Cohen as its new CEO. Sagi Cohen, who has served in the organization for the past six years, currently holds the position of CEO of the organization's Friends Association alongside her role as Head of the Marketing Department.
Leadership and Experience
Throughout her tenure, Sagi Cohen has demonstrated strong management and leadership skills, alongside a deep commitment to IDF wounded veterans. In her various roles, she has led national initiatives and projects, resource and fundraising efforts, and the strengthening of ties between the organization and Israeli society as well as Jewish communities abroad.
Sagi Cohen will lead the organization at a time when it is required to significantly expand its rehabilitation, treatment, and support systems to serve thousands of new wounded veterans from the Iron Swords War, alongside tens of thousands of existing members and their families.
Transition and Succession
She succeeds Yossi Mattityahu, who is stepping down after four significant years as CEO. Mattityahu, an IDF veteran and reserve lieutenant colonel, led the organization through a complex period, particularly since the outbreak of the war.
"I want to thank Yossi for four years of dedicated and meaningful work and for leading the organization at a critical time," said Adv. Idan Kaliman, Chairman of the IDF Disabled Veterans Organization.
During his tenure, Mattityahu advanced major initiatives including the establishment of the Beit Halochem center in Ashdod, the creation of the PTSD and Career departments, and the expansion of family support services. A structured handover process will take place in the coming months.
