Pelephone Changes Mobile Network Name to GO VOTE Ahead of Elections
Pelephone has temporarily changed its mobile network name to GO VOTE ahead of Tuesday's Knesset elections. The initiative aims to encourage civic participation while the company advances its business strategy.

Ahead of the 26th Knesset elections scheduled for Tuesday, Israeli telecom operator Pelephone has announced it is temporarily changing its mobile network display name to "GO VOTE" starting Monday morning. The initiative is designed to encourage public participation and civic engagement in the upcoming vote.
The new network name automatically appears on customers' screens at the top of their devices and will remain active through election day. Pelephone management noted that the company decided to leverage the screen space found in everyone's hands to remind citizens of the vital importance of exercising their democratic right to vote.
Pelephone, a subsidiary of the Bezeq Group, operates in a competitive market alongside major rivals such as Cellcom, Partner, and Hot Mobile. The company continues to invest heavily in expanding its 5G network infrastructure, digital services, and advanced communication solutions to serve its broad base of private and business clients.
In related business developments, Pelephone signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding in July 2026 to acquire the mobile operator Wecom Mobile for approximately 265 million NIS. Regulatory approvals from the Ministry of Communications and the Competition Authority have advanced the deal, which executives estimate will generate short-term synergies and cost efficiencies of around 50 million NIS, potentially doubling in the long run.
