Not just a fruit: 3 ways to transform a simple banana
In honor of Banana Day, nutrition experts reveal how to turn the humble fruit found in every home into three sophisticated desserts that will impress your guests.

August 27th marks Banana Day, and if this fruit is a staple in your kitchen, it is the perfect opportunity to see it in a new light. While often relegated to quick snacks or smoothies, the banana is a versatile ingredient for sophisticated desserts, warm beverages, and sweet treats. The best part is that you don't need an extensive shopping list or complex techniques to create something truly impressive. Simple combinations of basic ingredients can unlock entirely new flavors and textures. In honor of the occasion, we share three recipes courtesy of the nutrition department at Teka.
Hot Banana Milkshake with Vanilla and Cinnamon
Ingredients: 500 ml milk, 2 bananas, 215 g brown sugar, 60 g soft unsalted cheese, 0.5 tsp vanilla extract, 1 cinnamon stick, ground cinnamon for serving.
Preparation: Peel and slice the bananas. In a pot, heat the milk with the brown sugar, bananas, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick, add the cheese and vanilla extract. Continue heating until the cheese melts, then blend until smooth. Pour into glasses, garnish with cinnamon, and serve.
Baked Banana with Yogurt and Pistachios
