Palestinian Steals Weapon from Havat Gilad Security Officer: One Wounded
A report was received regarding a person wounded by gunfire following the theft of a security officer's weapon. The incident began when Israeli hikers were attacked by Palestinians near the village of Til.
An initial report was received this morning, Friday, regarding a shooting in the area of Havat Gilad in Samaria. Apparently, the incident began after several Israeli hikers, who were traveling near the village of Til in the Samaria Brigade, encountered Palestinians near the village mosque and were attacked. Following this, the security officer of the Havat Gilad settlement arrived at the scene.
At approximately 08:20, a report was received regarding a person wounded by gunfire after Palestinians seized the weapon from the Havat Gilad security officer and opened fire on Israeli citizens.
As of now, there is one wounded person in conscious condition, and he is receiving treatment from Magen David Adom (MDA) teams. Security forces are checking for additional casualties.
IDF forces are operating in the area, and significant reinforcements are being deployed to the scene. Furthermore, a closure has been imposed on the village of Til and on the city of Nablus at several entrances.
