Orel Tsabari: "I woke up with pains I have never experienced in my life"
In the midst of a busy career period, Orel Tsabari was forced to head to the emergency room due to severe pain. In an interview, the actor opened up about the stressful experience and his determination to return to the stage to avoid disappointing his audience.
Orel Tsabari is currently in a whirlwind of professional activity, starring in the musical "Around the World in 80 Days," dubbing alongside his wife Sivan Tam in a family comedy, and preparing for the new season of "Eretz Nehederet." Just as he reached the peak of this busy schedule last week, the actor was forced to stop everything after experiencing unusual, severe pain that led him straight to the emergency room.
In an interview with Galit and Ilanit, Tsabari and his wife recounted the stressful ordeal:
"I woke up in the morning with pains I have never experienced in my life. It was excruciating. We went to see a family doctor, and she told me to rush to the emergency room. After test upon test, it turned out I had a one-millimeter kidney stone that completely finished me off. I got through it thanks to Sivan's devoted care."
Beyond the physical worry, Tsabari was preoccupied by another fear: "What bummed me out the most was the thought of the audience coming to see me while I wasn't there." Since the doctor, having managed the pain with morphine, cleared him to perform, he went straight from the hospital bed to the theater.
"I arrived five minutes before the show started," he shared. "Adrenaline heals; I love being there."
