The statement follows an investigative report published by Haaretz, revealing that a week and a half before October 7, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Yahya Sinwar's intentions to carry out a major upheaval in Israel.
Joint Demand for Truth and Accountability
The four opposition leaders emphasized that the Israeli public deserves to know the full truth about the failures leading up to and during the devastating Hamas attacks.
«The Israeli public deserves to know what happened before, during, and after the massacre. This is the leadership's duty to its citizens», the leaders stated.
They directly addressed the prime minister, declaring: «Netanyahu, stop the lies. The Israeli public is entitled to know: what did you know, and when did you know it?»
Criticism of Netanyahu and Government Failures
The opposition figures asserted that the shocking revelation demands an immediate and thorough investigation. They accused Netanyahu and his associates of promoting false conspiracy theories and attempting to shift responsibility onto the security establishment.

This also aligns with an early wartime report by Yedioth Ahronoth journalist Smadar Perry, indicating that Egypt had similarly warned Netanyahu of an impending catastrophic event days before the tragedy.
