"Accepting everyone except Hapoel fans": Asaf Granit apologizes for Jerusalem scandal

A storm in Jerusalem: The menu at "Yudale", one of Asaf Granit's restaurants in Jerusalem, featured a header stating that they "accept everyone except Hapoel fans". This sparked anger among Hapoel Jerusalem supporters, and the matter reached Asaf Granit, who chose to respond directly in online fan groups.

Granit stated:

"This is Asaf Granit, and I would like to apologize for the things that appeared last night on the menu of the Yudale restaurant. This header was written by an employee who thought it was a funny joke; we missed it, and the matter went under the radar of the managers, who of course would not have allowed such a thing to be written on the menu."

Granit added: "This does not reflect our opinion as restaurateurs or my personal opinion at all. We cook and host people solely to make them happy; it does not matter who you are, what your political opinion is, or which team you support." Granit apologized to the fans and concluded: "Not that it matters for the specific case, but I am a Hapoel fan myself."
