Official: Date Set for Next iPhone Announcement Event
Apple has officially announced the date for its September event. The presentation, titled "Surprise and shine," will take place on Wednesday, September 9, at the company's headquarters, Apple Park.
September is the month when all tech giants take a step back, as it is the time when Apple holds the most important announcement event of the year: the unveiling of the new iPhones. We now officially know when the event will take place, and it is going to be a bit different than usual.
Many changes for one event
A few minutes ago, Apple sent out invitations for the upcoming event titled "Surprise and shine." As per Apple's relatively new tradition, the event will be pre-recorded and screened at Apple Park, the company's headquarters. This time, unusually, the event will take place on Wednesday, September 9, apparently to avoid a clash with Labor Day, which falls on a Monday—the day typically preferred by Apple for such announcements. At 8:00 PM (Israel time), John Ternus will appear for the first time as Apple's CEO, following Tim Cook's announcement of his retirement from the position.
Although Apple does not reveal its cards in advance, September events have for many years been dedicated to the company's flagship product, the iPhone. This time, the company is expected to announce the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max, but the highlight is expected to be the announcement of what may be called the iPhone Ultra, the company's first foldable iPhone.
