Ofer Winter Launches 'Amchah Yisrael' Election Campaign in Jerusalem
Ofer Winter's 'Amchah Yisrael' party launched its election campaign with billboards contrasting Winter's security approach with Yair Golan and Gadi Eisenkot.
Following the closure of party lists for the upcoming elections, the 'Amchah Yisrael' party led by Ofer Winter launched its new campaign on Friday with billboards across the country and in central Jerusalem near the Chords Bridge.
At the center of the campaign, Winter posed the question: "Who do you want to be responsible for Israel's security — Yair Golan and Gadi Eisenkot, or Ofer Winter? Golan and Eisenkot, who rooted the concept of containment in the IDF, or someone who acted in every way to advance a decisive victory? That is the story of these elections."
Earlier, after submitting the party's candidate list for the 26th Knesset to Central Election Committee Chairman Justice Noam Solberg, Winter delivered a sharp speech outlining his worldview and intentions. The party is currently holding a packed conference at Cinema City Glilot with hundreds of activists and supporters, featuring speeches by party members Yosef Haddad and Netali Shem Tov.
Opening his speech, Winter said: "'Amchah Yisrael' has only existed for two weeks. It feels like we've been here for two years, but we are marking just two weeks, and my primary insight is clear: 'Amchah Yisrael' is going to be the surprise of the elections."
Winter added: "Believe in us, we came to work for the people. Today party lists close, and this is an emotional day for all of us. There are older teams than ours, but there is no team like ours. The true uniqueness is right here — religious Jews, Christian Arabs, secular women from the periphery, kibbutz members from Be'eri, from Judea and Samaria, youth, agriculturists, legal experts, and public advocates all in one place."
