Israeli singer Ofer Levi was questioned by police on suspicion of inciting violence against political opponents in a social media video. Despite claiming AI manipulation, he admitted to the post during interrogation.

Israeli singer Ofer Levi, a 62-year-old resident of Holon, was questioned by the Israel Police on Tuesday on suspicion of inciting violence against supporters of a political party following a video circulated on social media. Following his interrogation, the suspect was released under restrictive conditions.
The investigation was launched after the police received reports regarding a video depicting a man making statements inciting violence against political supporters. Officers from the Holon police station examined the footage and, following approval from the State Attorney's Office, initiated a criminal investigation.
During questioning, Levi reportedly admitted to publishing the post and its contents, despite having previously claimed on social media that the footage was fabricated using artificial intelligence tools. In the video, the singer expressed support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and made violent threats concerning political opponents.
Police emphasized that law enforcement views any manifestation of incitement and threats with utmost gravity and will act decisively against anyone attempting to harm public safety, including online. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities review the full circumstances of the publication.
