New lawsuit: Humiliations, shouting, and curses from Sara Netanyahu
An updated petition filed in court reveals claims by a former operations staff member at the official residence, who alleges he was forced to endure humiliation, harsh remarks, and an incident that flared up due to a mistake in the location of food packages brought from the USA.
According to a report by Channel 12 on Thursday, an updated civil lawsuit has been filed against the Prime Minister's Office. The proceedings were initiated by a man in his seventies who concluded his employment at the residence a few months ago. Although his official job description was in logistics and operations, the plaintiff claims that, in practice, most of his daily routine was dedicated to providing personal services to the Prime Minister's wife, Sara Netanyahu.
The main allegations brought in the statement of claim are as follows: according to the former employee, the work environment at the residence was characterized by degrading treatment, and he was forced to endure insults, raised voices, and offensive discourse on a regular basis.
Beyond the verbal aspect, the legal document includes descriptions of physical confrontations. The plaintiff declares that at certain times, violence was used against him by the Prime Minister's wife, including instances where he was shoved and forcibly pinned against a wall.
A significant part of the lawsuit describes particularly strict work procedures, referred to as "cleaning rituals." According to the description, any slight deviation from those instructions led to harsh reactions and humiliation. In one prominent account, the employee claims he was forced to scrub the building's floor while crawling, being allowed to use only small wet wipes.
Also detailed is an incident that occurred shortly before the Prime Minister's return from a diplomatic trip to the USA at the beginning of the year. According to the plaintiff, several food deliveries from American restaurants were brought to the residence. The employee recounts that due to human error, he placed the packages in the wrong kitchen. The statement of claim asserts that this placement error led to a severe and disproportionate outburst against him by the Prime Minister's wife.
Finally, the petition incorporates allegations regarding statements of a racist nature which, according to the employee, were directed at him during his period of service.
Now, with the commencement of the proceedings, the matter moves to the legal track. It is important to note that the descriptions appearing in the statement of claim reflect at this stage only the employee's version, and these are allegations that have not yet been proven. The full factual picture will be clarified in court after the Prime Minister's Office files its statement of defense.
