Another disappearance at Ashkelon beach: Grave concern for the life of a 39-year-old man
Police forces and ZAKA diving teams conducted extensive searches at Hofit Beach after a 39-year-old man went missing in the sea. The incident occurred at the same beach where 4-year-old Yuval Kogan previously disappeared.

Grave concern for a drowning incident in Ashkelon: Extensive search efforts continued throughout the night in the area of Hofit Beach after a man aged about 39 disappeared in the sea during the afternoon hours. The man entered the water wearing a swimsuit, and his tracks have been lost since. The report was received at the ZAKA hotline on Saturday night, and volunteers from the special units were immediately dispatched to assist the police in the search efforts.
Following a situation assessment by the police and ZAKA commanders, numerous teams set out for comprehensive searches along the coastline. In parallel, the ZAKA diving unit is operating in the shallow water and around the rocks using dedicated equipment. The commander of the special units at ZAKA, Haim Otmazgin, noted that the forces are operating in full coordination with the Israel Police and that with the first light of day, an additional situation assessment will be held to determine the continuation of the searches.
This incident comes after Hofit Beach in Ashkelon made headlines recently following a frantic search for 4-year-old Yuval Kogan. After nearly a day of intense searching, the incident ended in a miracle when the child was located safe and sound at the nearby Nitzanim Beach.
