Noam Tibon sues Likud activist for tens of thousands of shekels: "False messages"

Major General (res.) Noam Tibon is turning to the court with a demand for compensation of 75,000 shekels from businessman Avi Gross, following a publication he posted on social media. The lawsuit, filed at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, deals with allegations directed at Tibon regarding his conduct surrounding the October 7 attack and during the war.

At the center of the lawsuit, as reported in news1, is a post that Gross published on his Instagram account in July 2024. The publication featured Tibon and Major General (res.) Israel Ziv, and alongside it were claims that the two arrived at the combat zone together with a film crew, among other things for media exposure. Tibon rejects the claim and clarifies that the photo used in the publication was taken only about two weeks after October 7, as part of a report for Channel 12.

Another claim addressed by the lawsuit is that Tibon allegedly knew in advance about the Hamas attack. According to Tibon, this is false information, and its dissemination damaged his reputation. The lawsuit further claims that Gross is involved in producing content and managing campaigns for the Likud party and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and among other things, produced the film "The Trial," which deals with the law enforcement system.

According to Tibon, Gross echoes false messages out of support for PM Netanyahu. The lawsuit was filed through attorneys Yossi Abadi and Tal Peleg-Par, and so far no statement of defense has been filed on behalf of Gross.
